I'm So Sad...

"Mommy, I'm so sad."  That seems to be one of Matthew's latest favorite sayings.  When asked why he's sad, he'll say "so why" and then give his excuse.  I'm not sure why he says "so why" nor do I know if it's something in English or Chinese that he's trying to say.  But usually his excuse for being sad is because either we're not giving him something that he wants or he doesn't want to pick up his toys after he played with them.  And he's got the sad face and voice to go with this little act of his!

He's also started speaking a lot more English ever since he started going to the toddler class at the bible study that I go to.  It's incredible how much he picks up from going to this class just once a week.  When I speak to him in Chinese now, he sometimes repeats what I say but replaces certain words with English words that he knows.

He's also been such a great big brother to Sophia.  It just melts my heart when he says "gnaw yeew take care mui mui" and then goes and gives her a kiss.

I can't believe how quickly he's growing up.  He's a full grown toddler now - running, jumping, laughing, talking, singing, dancing, playing, learning, and anything you can think of (misbehaving included!)
