1st [Professional] Haircut

I was tired of seeing Matthew's mop on his head getting all sweaty during this summer heat so I finally took him in for a real haircut.  He did such a good job!  I'll admit, I used bribery to make this work - I promised I would take him to 7-11 for a slurpee if he did a good job sitting still to get his hair cut.  When we first got there [just took him to the borics that his daddy goes to], he was reluctant to sit down in the chair.  His arms were wrapped tightly around my neck and his legs around my waist.  I reminded him that if he didn't get his hair cut, then he wouldn't get a slurpee.  His response?  "I don't want a slurpee anymore."  The hairdresser was very calm and patient in working with us.  What finally convinced Matthew to sit down was when I told him the chair was like the ones that "space captains" sit on.  The hair dresser showed him how the chair moved up and down and that was enough to get him   to want to try sitting in the chair.  After that, everything was good, except for the occasional itch he had on his face.  I know Pat didn't want Matthew to get his haircut this short, but I think he looks so handsome with his new look!...even more handsome than before. =)
