It's been a while since the last post - so much has changed! The biggest change is that Matthew is now a big brother!...and a great one as far as we can see. He loves his little sister - he loves just walking up to her and just giving her a sweet little kiss somewhere on her head.
When he doesn't see her around, he'll always ask where she is. When someone jokes about taking her home with them, he'll always say "Noooooo!" He's also a great helper, when he wants to be. When I'm nursing Sophia, he'll sometimes go and grab her burp cloth without me asking him to do so. When I'm getting ready to give Sophia a bath, he'll go and grab some clothes out of her dresser and say "Matthew good helper!" Of course, there are times when he'll ask us to put Sophia down so that we can play with him, but if that's the only jealousy that exists, what more can a parent ask for?
Matthew's at the age where he typically doesn't like to pose for pictures, but for some reason, he loves laying next to his little sister to take pictures. Here's some evidence: =)
I have to say that Matthew is just an amazing child. He is curious about everything and wants to explore, but he is also so respectful to his parents' directions and instructions. Being willing to take pictures together with his little sister shows yet another virtue embedded in him - he has a kind heart just like his parents!
